The unscheduled part
Open from Monday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon, staffed by Metabase experts. No talk, no slides, no ticket queue. Bring the thing that has been bothering you for months, or just come sit down. Also, there will be snacks.
We are keeping the first year small on purpose, which means plenty of opportunities to introduce you to people working through the same problems you are. No badge scanning, no lead forms. Tell us who you want to talk to and we will walk you over.
Some of them build Metabase. Some of them run it at their own companies and came to tell you what that is actually like. Because the first year is small on purpose, you can talk to any of them.

Subject: Conference request, Metabase OUTER JOIN, Oct 5–7 Hi [name], I’d like to attend Metabase OUTER JOIN in Denver, October 5–7. It’s the first in-person conference Metabase has run, and the whole product and engineering team is there. Three things I’d bring back: 1. Answers to the specific problems on our roadmap. The Experts Lab runs all three days, so I can sit down with Metabase experts in person. 2. Hands-on workshop time on the areas we’re investing in, working alongside the people who built them. 3. A read on where the platform is going in the next year, so we plan against what’s shipping instead of guessing. Cost: $795 for the badge (all meals included), plus flights and $165/night at the venue hotel. If two colleagues come along it drops to $695 each. The price goes up to $1,395 on September 16 and the discounted room block expires September 20, so I’d like to book before then. Happy to write up what I learn and run an internal session when I’m back. Thanks,
