Usage-based pricing
AI
Most folks bring their own Anthropic API key to power Metabase's AI features. If you use our AI service, it's $3.75 per 1m tokens. Our service includes 1 million tokens to get you started.
Transforms
You get 1,000 included runs on Starter and Pro. After 1,000, each run costs $0.01 and we send you a bill each month for your usage.
By self hosting, you get unlimited transforms since they run on your infrastructure.
Advanced transforms
Just like regular transforms, you get 1,000 included runs on Starter and Pro. Advanced transforms cost $0.02 per run after you use your included runs.

Storage
Storage is a completely optional feature that you can use if you don't have your data in a classic database and instead want to upload spreadsheets or CSVs to analyze in Metabase. Pricing starts at $40 for 500k rows of storage.

What's the difference between Pro and Enterprise?
Feature wise: zero. With Enterprise you get assigned a dedicated success engineer and a 1-day SLA response time making it a great option for customers that run Metabase in mission-critical or sensitive environments.
Does it cost more money to create more visualizations, run more queries, connect to additional data sources, etc.?
No. You can make as many dashboards, visualizations, collections, queries as you like and connect to as many data sources as you have. Metabase costs the same no matter what you make, or how much you explore.
How are users calculated?
Everyone who signs into your Metabase (logging in directly or via SSO) is a user for purposes of billing. Licenses are for individuals and are non-transferrable.
Can I adjust the number of users I'm paying for?
Yes. In your instance you can add or deactivate any users. Your billing will automatically be prorated.
