Accounts and billing
Managing billing and accounts in the Metabase store.
Upgrade to Pro (or downgrade to Starter)
If you’d like to switch plans:
- Log in to your Metabase store account and:
- Click on Instances.
- Navigate to the instance you want to change.
- Click on Manage plan.
- Select the plan you want.
- Click Change plan.
Add people to manage your store account
You can add people to your account to allow them to manage your store account (not your Metabase).
- Log in to your Metabase store account.
- Click on Settings.
- Scroll to Managers.
- Enter email address of the person(s) you’d like to invite.
- The store will send them an email prompting them to create a Metabase store account.
Add people to receive billing and/or technical notifications
You can include contacts to receive billing notifications, as well as technical notifications, like info about new Metabase releases.
- Log in to your Metabase store account.
- Click on Settings.
- Scroll to Contacts.
- Enter email address of the person((s) you’d like to invite.
- The store will send them an email prompting them to create a store account.
Cancel a subscription or trial
People on Metabase Cloud Starter and Pro plans can cancel directly in the store:
- Log in to your Metabase store account.
- Click Cancel subscription and delete instance.
To cancel a self-hosted Metabase Pro or Enterprise plan, you’ll need to contact support. (It’s easy, we just don’t have the process automated.)
Update payment information
- Log in to your Metabase store account.
- Navigate to Invoices & Payment.
- Enter new credit card information under Payment Method.
- Click on Update.
If your Metabase was suspended due to a failed payment, the store will automatically restore your Metabase upon a successful payment.
Switch to annual billing
- Log in to your Metabase store account.
- Click on Instances.
- Navigate to the instance you want to switch to annual billing.
- Click on Save 10% with annual billing.
- Confirm details and click on Switch to annual billing.
Note that you cannot switch back to monthly billing until your annual cycle has completed.
Download past invoices
- Log in to your Metabase store account.
- Click on Invoices & Payment.
- Scroll down to Invoices to view past or open invoices.
W-9 form requests
See Metabase’s updated W9 form.
Update your Tax ID
- Log in to your Metabase store account.
- Click on Invoices & Payment.
- Scroll down to Invoice Tax IDs.
- Click Add a Tax ID.
- Enter your Tax ID.
- Click Save.
